Booking to go on a HTC Tramp

To join us on one of our tramps, please phone the Tramp Leader or Co-leader as listed on the Tramp List. If you are unable to get through, phone any committee member and they will pass your name on and make sure someone gets back to you.

Bookings for our tramps generally close on the Monday evening prior to the weekend of the tramp. This allows the time required for us to organize transport/hire a van. However late bookings are considered and if there is a seat available you will be welcome to join us.

If you have any concerns feel free to ask the Tramp Leader any questions you may have. The Tramp Leader will also be able to provide you with other details regarding equipment, clothing and costs (generally $25 per day for transport or $20 per day for HTC members, but check this out when you book in as it is sometimes more where special transport is involved).

With your interests in mind, and those of others tramping on the day, the Tramp Leader will also take this opportunity to find out a little more about your general health and fitness to ensure that you are able to approach the day properly prepared and with confidence.

Cancellations

We normally hire a van for tramp transport; the cost of the van hire is offset by the cost of the tramp fees paid.

We are a non profit making organisation and endeavour to keep the individual cost of tramps down for those who tramp on the day. For this reason we have found it necessary to impose the following conditions:

The last day for bookings or cancellations is generally the Monday evening before a tramp.

Cancellations after the last day for bookings (Monday) will incur a penalty of:

• $10.00 for a day or extended day tramp, or
• $20.00 for a weekend or holiday weekend tramp.

Failure to turn up without notification will incur the full cost of the seat reserved.

Departure

Normal times of departure are:

Day tramp - at 7:30 am on the Sunday morning.

Extended day - on the Saturday afternoon.

Weekend tramp - at 6:00 pm on the Friday evening.
