13/14 January 2007 - Mt Messenger, Whitecliffs
Leaving around noon on Saturday and either camping or in cabins. Beach walk optional. Sunday walking over farmland and along the beach to the Whitecliffs. Tough Group B climb up from the beach over Mount Waipingau and Mt Messenger to carpark. Both tramps about 7 to 7.5 hours.

27/28/29 January 2007 - Northland. Camp & Day Tramps
We will depart Friday evening and camp near Mangawhai Heads. On Saturday and Sunday we will do day walks in the area and return home on Monday. Ideal tramp for first-time campers.

3/4/5/6 February 2007 - Kaimanawas to Kawekas
Those wanting to do this tramp will need to take the Monday off work. We will start from Clements Road and walk right through to the Kawekas. Some days may be long. A good four day tramp.

11 February 2007 - Aongatete Stream
This is a fun tramp for those who like to jump down waterfalls. Warm clothing needed even in summer and all gear in waterproof bags or else there'll be soggy sandwiches.

25 February 2007 - Ngaroma
This is a varied tramp that we have never done before. It was created by Peter and crosses farmland, goes along roads and through bush forming a loop.

This is a good tramp up and over the Kaimai Range.

The Tararu Track is off Tararu Road behind Thames in the Coromandel. Undulating terrain.

We will take the ferry to the island and walk up the scoria track to the summit, then back down again to meet the ferry.

24 June 2007 - Waikato Ramble
The day will start with the Kauri loop track at the Northern end of the Hakarimata Range, then around Lake Hakanoa, Huntly, up Taupiri Mountain and finish off with the River Walk in Hamilton City.

7 July 2007 - Mt Maungatautari / Out in the Styx Restaurant
This is usually a bush bash up the mountain with plenty of opportunity to ‘glide’ through the supple jack! The day finishes of with a lovely dinner at the restaurant (cost around $25).

28/29 July 2007 - Mid Winter Xmas Pot luck / local Waihi Walk - extended day
We will meet at Anderley’s Bowentown home for Christmas dinner. Christine will show her slides of Cuba in the evening. The next day we will do a local walk in the Waihi area.

Leaving at 8am on Saturday. We will walk from Maratoto over to Whangamata and stay overnight at John’s.

20/21/22 October 2007 - Ruahines – a repeat attempt
This tramp entails going over a ridge and onto the tops. We come back around and down a river bed. It was cancelled last year due to poor weather conditions.

We will stay overnight in the Forest and Bird lodge and have our usual pot-luck dinner. On Sunday we will do a local walk.

17 November 2007 - Tiritiri Matangi Island
As this island is now predator free, it is a bird lover’s paradise. There are some beautiful views from the many walking tracks as well. A good d ay for all the family.

2 December 2007 - Waitawheta Hut
We will walk in to the Waitawheta Hut from Woodlands Rd (Eastern Kaimais) and exit at Franklin Rd (Karangahake Gorge). Be prepared for river crossings.
